1. NR: Noise Reduction. During the night-time, NR can make the snow point less on the screen, to make the image clearer.
2. WDR: Wide Dynamic Range function of a camera is intended to provide clear images even under back light circumstances where intensity of illumination can vary excessively. The WDR allows a camera to filter the intense back light surrounding a subject and thus enhances the ability to distinguish features and shapes on the subject. WDR cameras are usually recommended for situations where light enters a premise from various angles such as a multi-window room. A camera placed on the inside of the room will be able to see through the intense sunlight or artificial light coming in.

6. Low Illumination: The camera can work under very weak light condition.
7. AGC: Automatic Gain Control is a feature that is used to automatically adjust the signal strength based on certain parameters based on the signal input and other specified parameter.
8. AWB: Auto White Balance is a feature on many color cameras that monitors the light and adjusts its color to maintain the light areas.
9. BLC: Back Light Compensation is a feature on professional CCTV cameras which electronically compensates for high background lighting to give detail which would normally be silhouetted. It allows adjustment to compensate for shadows and dark areas in the camera view.
10. PAL: Phase Alternation Line is a European color TV system featuring 625 lines per frame, 25 frames per second and 50 fields per second. PAL is used mainly in Europe, China, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, and parts of Africa.
11. NTSC: National Television System Committee is an organization that formulated the standards for the current United States color television system. This system is used in most countries of the Americas, as well as other parts of the world. NTSC employs 525 lines per frame, 29.97 frames per second and 59.94 fields per second.
